A lot of people asking about the date for the Division M contest.
Please arrange for at least two judges to be available from your club so that we can have a balanced judging team. Judges can only be from clubs that are not competing so we don’t know yet which clubs we will call on. Other officials such as ballot counters and timers will also be needed. This is a great way for members to add to their CL manual completion.

Are you up for a challenge? Something that would help you and your club? Can you help us set a record for the most CL awards in any District worldwide? District 86 tops in the world?
Unless you read the CL manual very carefully you may miss that often you only need to do a few of the assignments in order to complete a project. In order to simplify the CL completion tracking there is a new CL Award application which includes how many assignments each project requires. The new form can be downloaded here: CL Award Application.
This is a great idea to focus on the overall Toastmaster opportunity for growth. Completing a CL (Competent Leader) gets you and your members involved in all aspects of building a great Toastmasters club. The challenge is for eacg club to get at least 5 CL this year. Compared to last year where one club earned 16 CL, and 5th place earned 8 CL, this is very doable.
Start by ensuring that each person doing an agenda role has someone completing their CL manual for that activity, as well as the other contributions they make towards building a successful club. Everyone should always have their CL manual with them!
A brand new version of the CL manual has just been released. Most of you are already working on the previous version and that’s fine. It still counts! However the new manual has been made easier to follow. All the pieces for putting Area 14 at the top of the CL list!
